Points and Scoring
Points will be awarded according to the following table. Please note that the last
place finisher system that has been used up and including the 2009 season will be
scrapped for 2010. A rider that fails to receive the chequered flag at the
end of a heat will be deemed not to have finished the heat and will receive zero
points for that heat. Riders who may have been lapped or not completed the full
number of laps by the time the winning rider completes the heat, will still receive
points as per their finishing position. There will be no dropping of points.
- 1st = 25 points
- 2nd = 20 points
- 3rd = 16 points
- 4th = 13 points
- 5th = 11 points
- 6th = 10 points
- 7th = 9 points
- 8th = 8 points
- 9th = 7 points
- 10th = 6 points
- 11th = 5 points
- 12th = 4 points
- 13th = 3 points
- 14th = 2 points
- 15th and thereafter = 1 point
