The King of Kyalami is a twist that we have decided to add to the 2010 season. A total of 4 of the 8 rounds will be held at KKC (normal direction, night race and reverse direction) so it stands to reason that we may as well see who is the best of the best at the circuit. Someone who is not only quick around the circuit, able to master it’s of camber turns and surface changes, but is also consistent throughout the year. So how will it work?

Points will be accumulated as follows:

  • Championship points scored while racing in your class scored at KKC.
  • 10 points awarded for each event entered into (and paid for) in your class at KKC.
  • 5 points awarded for each heat successfully completed in your class at KKC.
  • 25 points awarded to the lap record holder for each class at KKC at the end of round 8. (Lap record will only be taken from Heats, not Free Practice or Qualifying sessions)

Should a tie exist at the end of the season between 2 or more riders, the following shall apply.

  • 5 points will be awarded for each first place achieved at KKC in your class (points only to be applied to riders involved in the tie)
  • Should a tie still exist at this point, 5 points will be awarded for each second place achieved at KKC in your class (points only to be applied to riders still involved in the tie)
  • Should a tie still exist at this point, 5 points will be awarded for each third place achieved at KKC in your class (points only to be applied to riders still involved in the tie)
  • Should a tie still exist at this point, riders involved in the tie will be eliminated in order of their worst result scored at KKC in their class.

Should a tie still exist at this point between 2 or more riders, it shall stand and all riders involved will be crowned King Of Kyalami.
